"malaysia" was made using only field recordings in malaysia as source material. the piece attempts to juxtapose processed with unprocessed recordings. the topological features of the elements of the composition allow the raw material and its processed versions to coalesce.

piece, and to be honest, experienced many blissful moments. It's amazing how such carefully controlled sounds can affect a person. Suddenly after the piece ended I found myself hyperaware of every single sound around me. Even though the textures are supposed to be aleatoric and naturalistic, in fact ,you are hearing manufactured sounds, not quite natural, but still quite peaceful.
